  • I would've loved to see the faces on the suburban stay-at-home parents when UK post-punk band Savages took the stage on Ellen yesterday afternoon. "I love finding new, interesting, unique music, and I love this next band," Ellen said in her introduction. Watch them perform the track "Adore" below. And studio audience members all received a copy of the Matador Records release Adore Life, which I hope they all blasted from their mini-vans on the drive home. [Consequence of Sound]

  • New York psych-band Woods share a video for the track "I See in the Dark" off their latest full-length City Sun Eater in the River of Light. The clip was made in collaboration with Habitat Skateboards, a manufacturer of professional skateboard decks, shoes, apparel, and wheels. The band are setting out on tour this week with UK duo Ultimate Painting, and to commemorate the tour, they've released a split tour-only 7" limited to a 1,000 copies.   • In honor of 4/20, stoner-sweetheart Colleen Green shares the new track "Green My Eyes," off her forthcoming self-titled EP, out May 13th on metallic gold cassette only via Infinity Cat Recordings. Check it out below: [Spin]

  • We've got more new music to share from the forthcoming collaboration between Neko Case, k.d. lang, and Laura Veirs, simply titled case/lang/veirs. Sad news is spreading quickly across the internet. Prince has died. The 57-year old icon, Prince Rogers Nelson, has been reported by TMZ, and now with many others confirming, to have passed away at his Chanhassen, Minnesota, estate.

Twin Peaks have shared a brand new track from their upcoming album, Down in Heaven. The song, called "Holding Roses," shows the Chicago garage rockers sunnier side. It may be a breakup song, but the bright melody strikes an interesting contrast. Down in Heaven drops on May 13. [SPIN]
