As much as I love to knit, I honestly didn't need another stocking cap... until I saw the KEXP beanie. Seattle headwear specialists Coal, who created this beanie exclusively for KEXP donors, share our dedication to quality and curatorial excellence. They're also serious music geeks, citing Wilco, Seattle hip-hop, The Flaming Lips, old records, and Radiohead among myriad influences on their craft.

"We have been KEXP listeners and supporters for many years now in the Coal office," says Jake Hanson, Coal's Marketing Coordinator. "Some of us donate individually, and as a whole we listen to the station on the daily. KEXP has provided endless hours of new music for us." KEXP also inspired them to initiate a "music ambassadors" program, which connects PNW artists including My Goodness, Deep Sea Diver, and The Grizzled Mighty to Coal enthusiasts and helps some of our favorite artists keep their ears warm and toasty.

The KEXP beanie is available only as a special gift during our Fall Fundraising Drive. When you donate $365 or more, you'll receive the beanie plus another thank-you of your choice (like our new KEXP "Power Cord" tee or Live at KEXP Volume 9), as well as the terrific feeling that comes from knowing you've ensured there's always an outlet for the music you love on KEXP, too.

Donate Now!

Coal created and manufactured these beanies for KEXP at no charge, which enables us to put more money into the programming and services you love. "We saw this donation as a way to give back to the station that brings us so much enjoyment," says Hanson. Thank you, Coal! If KEXP brings that same kind of joy to your life, please make a gift during our Fall Fundraising Drive and pick up a KEXP beanie of your own... before they're gone!
