  • Seattle’s own THEESatisfaction return with their first new album in almost three years: EarthEE. The sophomore full-length was co-produced by Erik Blood, who also makes a guest appearance, along with Shabazz Palaces, Porter Ray, Meshell Ndegeocello, and Taylor Brown. Check out the first single “Recognition” (featuring Shabazz Palaces & Erik Blood) below. EarthEE hits stores February 24th via Sub Pop. [Stereogum]

  • Boy, Canadian troubadour Mac DeMarco just can’t catch a break. Last month, he was detained by police at a rowdy show at the UC Santa Barbara. And then, on Adult Swim’s The Eric André Show, he gets brutalized by samurai in what André calls “Attack DeMarco.” Watch below. [Stereogum]

  • All year long, UK label Fuzz Club Records have been releasing limited-edition split 10″ singles on pretty colored vinyl, and for their fifth release, they team up Italian band Sonic Jesus with Austin psychrockers The Black Angels. Stream their track “Molly Moves My Generation” below. The split 10″ hits stores on December 15th. Future editions in the series will feature Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre, A Place to Bury Strangers, and Lee Ranaldo. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Take a trip with Owen Pallett, whose video for the track “Infernal Fantasy” features beautiful shots of mountain vistas. The track (which features guest vocals from none other than Brian Eno) appears on Pallett’s most recent release In Conflict. Watch below, then watch his KEXP in-studio session here.
